Description:

Die Larven (Engerlinge) ernähren sich jahrelang von morschem, feuchtem Totholz (bevorzugt Eichenholz), weshalb man den Hirschkäfer meist in der Nähe von Eichen findet. Die Kamera hatte ich bodennah abgelegt.
